AVA Festival in Belfast has grown a name for itself over recent years especially with THAT video of Space Dimension Controller playing ‘Ayla’. This year we’ll be heading up as we’re taking part in the conference and we’re here to tell you why you need to come with us.
The set up
AVA takes place at T13 Titanic Quarter of Queens Road in Belfast. This setting alone brings a whole different party atmosphere with it different to any other. What’s better than listening to Jeff Mills do a 909 drum solo beside where the Titanic set sail.
Along with hosting DJs and live acts, AVA also holds one of the biggest music conferences in electronic. It’s seen as a hub for brands to build new connections across Europe. We definitely recommend checking out the conference if you have your own brand you want to build, and then obviously partying afterwards.
If you’re coming from Ireland it’s only a train journey up. This means you won’t have to spend ridiculous amounts on flights and accommodation. Get your festival ticket, train ticket, a bag of cans and you’re on you’re way.
Boiler Room have announced they’re curating a stage this year. On this years stage we’ll see Ejeca, Denis Sulta, Jordan, OR:LA, Saoirse, DJ Deece, JC Williams [Live] and Twitch DJs. That’s going to be a serious party.
The full line up
From Jeff Mills and Guillame Marmin performing their ‘Close encounters of the first kind’ set to Bicep playing a set of unreleased edits to Fatima Yahama dropping ‘What’s a Girl To Do’ this is easily one of the best line ups we’ve seen. Check it out in full below.
