Glastonbury is set for relocation come 2019
Michael Eavis, the founder of Glastonbury festival, has hinted that there might be a site change for the iconic festival come 2019.
2018 will see Glastonbury return to Worthy Farm but after that, it’s looking likely that by 2019 there will be a 100 mile relocation to the Midlands for 2019’s festival.
Eavis told the BBC : “I’m arranging to move the show, but it would be a huge loss to Somerset if it went forever.”
He also added that a one year break will from Worthy Farm will happen every five years but also reiterating that Glastonbury would not be leaving Somerset for good.
“Most people are on side now and it’s a wonderful, wonderful boost for the whole of Somerset and beyond as well. I don’t want to lose it for ever, no way.”
Radiohead are the only act confirmed for Glastonbury 2017. Who do you think will be joining them?
