We’ve decided to go back down memory lane and reminisce on all the tracks that laid the foundations for what we all love today. Every week we’ll dig up four classics that will bring you right back to the early days of raving.

4. Sound Crowd Energy Rush

Dublin duo Mark Kavanagh & Mr Spring took the 90s by storm with some huge hits and in 1993 ‘Energy Rush’ was played religiously in every club across Dublin.

3. Punchanella – San Trancisco

1994 saw the release of this gem from Punchanella. First featured on John Digweed’s essential mix in 94, the track took off and became a massive hit.

2. Moonchild – V.O.A.T (Variation On A Theme)

Released officially in 1997 on EastWest, a lot of people attest to hearing it first in 93/94 on Sasha & Digweed’s Renaissance mix. Recently remixed by Eats Everything, this track was way ahead of its time no matter what year it was released.

1. Bedrock – For What You Dream Of

We envy anyone who got to hear this being played in 1993. Easily one of the greatest progressive house/trance tracks of all time. Anyone who has seen ‘Trainspotting’ will know this one.
