His label Clergy had a huge year with releases from Dax J, Reflec and himself. A lot more to come in the new year from this up and coming talent.
On the back of his Boiler Room, DeFeKT is a name that has been hot on everyone’s lips. From his Tinfoil alias with Sunil Sharpe to live sets with Ansome, there is no stopping this homegrown talent.
2016 saw Latmun remix for the legendary Green Velvet. As well as producing a full 6 track EP on Steve Lawler’s ViVa. This young tech house architect is in store for a big upcoming year.
7. DJ Seinfeld
The Lo-Fi invasion over the past year has seen many acts emerge, but DJ Seinfeld stands out the most with the exception of the well known Mall Grab. Tracks like ‘U’ have seen major success in 2016 and we can see this continuing in 2017.
The first act to release on the iconic FEEL MY BICEP other than Bicep themselves, these two Kiwi’s are set for a big 2017.
5. Konstantin Sibold
The man behind arguably the best track of 2016, ‘Mutter’. Switching up his style from some of his old releases on the likes of DFTD, we can’t help but guess that there is much more to come from this man.
GO HARD OR GO HOME
There’s a huge year in store for this young Berlin trio. February will see their debut album on Modselektor’s Monkeytown Records, and Paddy’s Day will see them play Higher Visions Festival in Louth
2. Jay Clarke
Klockworks regular Jay Clarke is one of the most exciting acts in techno at the moment. Set to be playing regularly at fabric. in the new year, as well as playing Berghain this year, his future is very bright.
1. Jasper James
2016 has been Jasper James’ most successful year yet. Playing at clubs like DC10 and Sub Club, he really has emerged as one of the most exciting acts in house and techno. A big EP coming in the new year on Eats Everything’s Edible, Jasper is the one to look out for.
