The Brazilian city of Fortaleza was hit with tragedy in the small hours of Saturday morning last weekend when multiple cars opened fire outside a club just after midnight.

14 people were killed outside the Forro de Gago venue when three cars pulled up and opened fire on club goers. 2 of those killed were minors and a number were injured during the incident, including a 12 year old.

According to a CNN report the attack was related to drug trafficking. This comes a year after the horrific scenes at BPM festival in Mexico when 5 people were shot dead and many more were injured.

1 person is currently in custody according to police.
