One of the most entertaining characters in electronic music, and one hell of a technically gifted DJ (He can scratch with his shoe/elbow/mouth/basically anything). We caught up with none other than Doorly and found out what his six favourite things about Dublin are ahead of his set in Opium Rooms with us on Saturday, February 25.
These answers are hilarious.
6. The 24 hour Spar on Dame Street
We really can’t blame him for picking this one. What’s better than getting a chicken fillet roll with fillings you’d never get during the day?
Absolutely nothing and Doorly knows this too well.
5. Lucan Footgolf Course
Doorly’s a massive football fan, he’s also a massive golf fan, so when he found out that Lucan had its very own Footgolf course he lost his mind with excitement.
The guys behind Wunderground are very close to Doorly, so no wonder he’s popped them down on the list. They’re also the masterminds behind some of the funniest articles we’ve ever read, especially the DJ Sneak beef.
3. Dorly’s Opium After Party Palace
This takes place in Evan Doherty’s (Doorlys friend) photography studio every time he finishes up a set in Opium Rooms and wants to continue partying until the very early hours.
Hopefully we’ll be invited up to this after party palace.
2. The world famous National Leprechaun Museum
The National Leprechaun Museum is by far one of the most tourist populated places in Dublin and it looks like Doorly just can’t get enough of it.
The museum tells the story of the history of these mythical creatures. Maybe Doorly is a massive Lord Of The Rings fan too, we’ll have to find that out.
1. Opium Rooms’ soup of the day AKA Whiskey
The Doorly special. His favourite drink when playing at Opium is his beloved Whiskey straight on the rocks.
Nothing can beat it when playing a set. We give you the thumbs up for this one Doorly
