The city of Birmingham has a rich history of nightlife and legendary nightclubs, but it looks like the best is potentially still to come. CRANE is due to open later this month boasting a 12,000 square foot ground floor space, a new purpose built mezzanine, and a cellar space roughly 7,000 square feet. The project is being overseen by the familiar Birmingham venue regulars, The Rainbow Venues.
On September 29th the venue is set to launch and will open it’s doors with a monster lineup consisting of the legendary, Steve Lawler, Richy Ahmed, Kölsch, Cristoph and Roth$tein all set to make the opening night a night to remember.
Read the CRANE’s press release here: “Adjoining the main rooms, a mid-sized hangar-like terrace offers an escape from the action, boasting plush seating under subtle lights, completed with a view over the nearby canal.”
The venue won’t be exclusively a nightclub, it’ll bring community projects such as art exhibitions, theatre shows, food markets and popup functions to the city of Birmingham.
