One of the biggest names in dance-music, Patrick Topping, announced last week that’ll he be taking to three European cities as part of his Topping’s City Takeover series, Dublin making the list.
This September 21 Patrick Topping will take to the Guinness Gravity Bar for a pre-party intimate set, afterwards he’ll finish off the night in District 8. Topping’s City Takeover kicks off at 2 pm and continues on till 3 am that night.
After a huge 2016, he’s been shining through this 2017 as he recently was voted number 11 in Resident Advisors Top 100 DJs of 2016 and placed number 15 in Mixmag’s charts. After releasing his world renowned track ‘Forget’ his career snowballed in such a short space of time. With his productions getting the deserved air play on the likes of Pete Tong and Annie Mac’s BBC radio 1 shows and also performing live twice himself, it’s clear that he’s living up to his hype.
Topping first started to catch dance-music lovers’ eyes back in 2015 when he picked up DJ awards for ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Track Of The Season’ for ‘Forget’. ‘Forget’ also picked up DJ Mag’s ‘Best Tune’ award in their Best of British Awards.
We highly recommend getting tickets for this show to avoid disappointment as last time Topping made the trip over to District 8 they added a second event the night due to ticket demands, which also ended up selling out.
Tickets are extremely limited and anyone who buys a ticket for the pre-party will gain access to the District 8 show free of charge. Tickets for the pre-party go on sale at 11 am tomorrow morning (August 4). For more information check out the Facebook event here.
We caught up with Topping the last time he played in Dublin for a quick interview, check it out below.
