District 8 are unearthing their Block Party for one of the biggest shows in the venue to date.
German techno trio FJAAK headline the all day affair alongside DJ Koze. Red Axes, Acid Pauli, Brame & Hamo and DJ Deece all serve to back up the headliners, with a further helping of local heroes Jordan, Sage, Nevan Jio, Cait Fahey, Aeron and more all filling out the extended lineup.
FJAAK are most definitely fan favourites in Ireland since making their debut in Galway many moons ago thanks to the TRIBE collective. Since then, they’ve gone on to play massive shows in Hangar and Index, as well as Metropolis festival this year.
The trio have promised a new album is on the way very soon and have stayed relevant in the ears of fans with massive singles in the shape of a recent Robert Hood remix and a track on the Involve 5 year birthday compilation.
Similar to FJAAK, DJ Koze also announced that an album is on the way after dropping a single to compliment it. This will be his first show in Ireland in quite a while and will no doubt be a welcome return for fans of the producer.
Brame & Hamo and DJ Deece are also crowd favourites, especially when they play in the massive Dublin venue, with their last show, which was a part of the Deece series itself, ending in viral and now trademark ‘taps aff’ fashion.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday at 9am and you can join the Facebook event to keep up to date right here.
