Another Irish festival has been forced to cancel at the hands of the Garda Siochana. Fuaim Gathering which was supposed to be going ahead this weekend looked extremely promising with a strong Irish built line up.

We seen some of our favourite local heads lined up ready to go full throttle this weekend with the likes of Doug Cooney, Jamie Behan, Maedbh O’Connor, Casper Hastings and many more set to play, it’s a shame to see another weekend not going ahead.

Fuaim Gathering took to Facebook this morning to break the unwanted news to everyone stating how they just got told the night before the event was supposed to start that they had to cancel due to “not having the correct licensing”.

“We regret to inform you we had members of An Garda Siochana here on site today telling us that our event can not go ahead, they told us one day before the event. The reason being that we did not have all the correct licensing. I’m sure you are all very aware that we are not the first party/gathering/festival for this to happen to this year. It’s being happening to parties for years we all understand this, but not as frequent as we’ve seen this year in 2017.”
