This bank holiday Sunday sees three of the best crop of electronic talents take to the decks at Index, with help from Research and Hidden Agenda. The immersive halloween fancy dress party will be turning Smithfield’s 39/40 into ‘The Lab’, with props like test tubes, dry Ice, laboratory workers and lots of surprises. As well as that, they’ve invited a stellar house and techno line up to accompany them. Find out more about the night here.
R.Kitt. will be kicking things off at The Lab, a cofounder of the much loved DIP Collective and a master of house, with plenty of releases with labels like Pear and Orange Tree Edits that he’s been playing live to eager crowds all over Ireland at festivals for the summer now always capturing a strong energy during his sets.
Following R. Kitt is New Jackson, the moniker of David Kitt. This will be his first live show in Ireland in over a year, with a recent move abroad and a separate musical project taking the reins for a while. New Jackson has been gracing people with house releases for about a decade now.
Closing the night will be Saoirse, yet another DJ and producer that isn’t a stranger to our clubs and festivals. If you didn’t catch Saoirse play at Forbidden Fruit, she made her Berghain and Boiler Room debut earlier this year too, and has had a heavy tour schedule since then with plenty of international dates and dates at home dotted around. You can expect anything from techno to breakbeat, acid and house with Saoirse.
As is the rules with Index now, recording on phones will be prohibited, with a door policy of putting a sticker over the camera and with staff on the look out for anyone glaring a flash in the DJ’s eyes.
