One of UK’s largest festivals, Glastonbury, may not have a home in 2019.

It was reported that Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis said that the festival would no longer take place in its traditional home, Worthy Farm in Pilton because of safety hazards over a gas pipe. However Eavis has now come out and said that talks over moving Glastonbury to Longleat have fallen through.

Although Lord Bath, who owns the Longleat site, is a fan of the festival himself and his wife have blocked the plans.

“They let me down gently about their decision. I went round to their house and we had a very long discussion.” said Eavis. “They said to clean up all that mud, they’d have to restrict the whole of the operations at Longleat for about three months and it’s too expensive.”

But as prestige a festival Glastonbury is, surely they’ll overcome it.
