The age old Ibiza argument has been rumbling on for years now, season after season it doesn’t go away. Has Ibiza finally lost it’s soul?
Do Not Sleep head honcho Darius Syrossian certainly seems to have reached that conclusion. On a thread via his official Twitter page, Darius goes on to discuss the ever-growing cost of being in a club on the island, from double-vodka and Red Bulls costing as much as €44 to bottled water costing as much as €20, the money needed to even be in a venue on the island is simply getting ridiculous.
Reading his thread it’s clear to see the VIP culture on the island has certainly got it’s claws into the vast majority of the island’s scene, that and the “Beatport Bangers”, “Tech-House-Cannons” and people wanting to hear all the ‘Anthems’…
Ibiza has changed, & not for the good, this is the last season ill be doing a residency! Time to go back underground & be about the music https://t.co/FCZ8BTEXXW

However, Darius still believes there’s hope for Ibiza, but unfortunately for the island’s weekend tourists this ironically is on a Tuesday night at his own Do Not Sleep Party.
