Jon Hopkins has announced his return to Ireland following his set at Body & Soul last weekend. The electronic producer will perform in Vicar Street on Thursday, October 18.

The techno auteur’s recent EP ‘Singularity’, his first since 2013, shows Jon’s collective influences come together to produce a rugged techno body of work that’s constantly transcending genres with abstract influences including choral music, acoustic piano and more.

Jon Hopkin’s work reflects the psychology behind writing and creativity, which is influenced by his interest in meditation and trance like states. Singularity reflects the psychological states that he lives through as an artist immersed in the writing process.

Jon Hopkins performed a live set this weekend just passed at Body & Soul and has plenty more planned for the coming year. While previous years have been spent writing, collaborating with the likes of Bonobo and more, he’s thrown himself back out on the festival circuit to tour his new material inspired by the transcendental state.

Tickets go on sale Friday June 29 at 10am for €35.
