Australian imprint Steel City Dance Discs has launched its first EP of the year with a collection of tracks from Aussie native Loods.

The label is owned by Mall Grab and he has stated in the past how he doesn’t take the artist’s reputations into regard when choosing who releases on the label, only good music which he discovers himself, hence why there is no demo email.

This is the sixth release from the label, with past releases coming from Mall Grab himself, Deejay Astral, Ghettohousedrummachine, Jun Kamoda and X Coast who recently played in Dublin in Hangar’s warehouse last year.

The four track EP features the club orientated house we’ve come to love from the label and as per usual with SCDD, you may recognise a few tracks from Mall Grab dropping them in some of his sets and mixes. He appeared on the label’s all day Rinse FM takeover in 2017 and the EP has been a while coming since when it was first announced.

Loods is a close collaborator of Mall Grab’s and also hails from the town of Newcastle down under which inspired the label’s name. A recent unreleased link up between the two surfaced online after it was ripped from one of the ‘Can’t’ producer’s mixes.

You can catch Mall Grab next in Ireland when he headlines Subtech’s massive pre Life party in Limerick, this time around with Hammer and rising Irish house star KETTAMA. The Australian is just returning to Europe after taking time off to go home and is launching his massive ‘Nonstop Feeling’ tour which will feature a slew of SCDD artists such as Loods over the French legs as well as Deejay Astral in Bristol, Berlin and Warsaw.

You can pre-order the EP here from the Steel City Dance Discs bandcamp page.
