Police in Eastbourne have released a warning in relation to a batch of killer cocaine which is currently being sold on the streets. This extremely strong batch is being blamed for two drug-related deaths in recent weeks and a number of overdoses.

“Since April there have been a number of drug overdoses in the town and two drug-related deaths.” said Detective Inspector Neil Ralph. “We investigate all drug overdoses and drug-related deaths and look to identify who has supplied the drugs and seek a prosecution. This can be difficult at times because it is often the case the only person who knows the source of the drug is deceased.”

In recent years in the UK, we’ve also seen a significant increase in cocaine related deaths. Deaths have jumped from 112 in 2012 to 320 in 2015, according to a statement released by the Office for National Statistics, this leaves cocaine related deaths at an all time high.

With this statement the police have also warned about a deadly batch of heroin on the streets.
