Being an ally of many of the city’s collectives and having such an expansive taste makes him one of the most called upon selectors for a range of gigs that vary from support slots to closing spots and other bits in between.
Recent notable gigs include warming up for Klockworks-touted Etapp Kyle in Index, along with closing out Hangar after the mysterious SNTS for Techno & Cans, not to mention a headline slot in Galway for VSN in October. With consistent gigs coming in the shape of Toast, Oktopus and Techno & Cans, Kōlōna’s sound isn’t easy to pin down and that’s what makes him this week’s local selector.
This particular mix leans on the heavier side of things, while maintaining a Traumprinz-esque coolness throughout. Give it a listen below!
