Good news for all Londoners out there as part of the London Overground network is to start running for 24 hours at the weekend.

Sadiq Khan, who’s mayor of London, recently announced that the New Cross Gate to Dalston Junction line will run an all-night-long service, which should be here in time for Christmas, it will then further extend to Highbury and Islington in the new year.

Sadiq Khan further pointed out how this new service would come in hand with club goers: “Our Night Tube services have been a real success right across the capital, so I’m delighted to announce that we’ll be bringing the Night Overground to the East London line later this year. It will provide huge benefits to Londoners and visitors to our city, helping those working hard through the night and all those out enjoying everything London has to offer, as well as creating jobs and boosting our economy.”

This news will be taken well by Londoners after the launch of the Night Tube last year which currently serves the Central, Victoria, Jubilee, Piccadilly and Nothern lines on Fridays and Saturdays.

I suppose we might see an increase in illegal train raves now.
