Introducing Shed Sets, a DJ collective based in Limerick, recording and sharing hour-long DJ mixes from a garden shed, they now present their debut event at The Record Room in aid of UNICEF Palestine.
What began as a creative initiative in an unlikely place, their back garden, has now evolved into a series that allows a young crew to showcase music, as well as the talents of their friends, all within the cosy surroundings of a shed.
Shed Sets’ purpose is to use music as a platform to promote community and creativity, and show solidarity for worthy causes. Each episode is a spotlight on the next generation of Limerick electronic music. Not limited to genre, the crew sift through techno, house, garage, grime and more. It also conveys a broader message of solidarity and collective action, connecting listeners to something larger than just music.
“We started Shed Sets to create something meaningful, and now we’re extending that mission by supporting a cause that truly matters,” said the Shed Sets team. “We’re not just about music—we’re about coming together to make a difference.”
For their inaugural event at the Record Room in Limerick on March 7th, the team behind Shed Sets has assembled a stacked roster of DJs who have previously graced the series. The goal of this event is to raise crucial funds for UNICEF’s efforts in Palestine.
