Sam GreenwoodMella Dee has been a revelation this year thanks to the success of his new label Warehouse Music, which has been home to some of the standout house tracks of the past few months, including the unmistakable ‘Techno Disco Tool’.
The UK native, who initially burst onto the scene through his more breakbeat and UK influenced sounds, has now released more tracks on his label, with the title track of his latest EP, ‘Donny’s Groove’ recently being premiered by Mixmag. The title references his hometown of Doncaster which he is never shy about representing, be it on stage or all over his Social Media accounts, where he most recently shared a snap of him wearing Doncaster Rovers’ jersey at a gig.
The track echoes the same sort of formula as Techno Disco Tool, but the blend between the sample and the heavier aspects of the track are a lot smoother than on his earlier offering.

After playing massive shows in Ireland of late, including stops in Galway with the Refuge collective, along with an impromptu back to back with Denis Sulta at Subtech there, the DJ has become a particular hit with Irish fans and will be returning to Irish soil this summer for Higher Vision festival where he’ll be joined by a number of internationals and Irish acts, including KETTAMA, who he shared the bill with in Galway not too long ago.
