Flemingo opened its doors on the 1st of February with the idea of welcoming local talent within the realm of house and techno, even stating that it’s “Wicklow’s only underground nightclub.”
Opening on Arklow Main Street, the venue operates upstairs in Christy’s Bar & Restaurant. It follows on from the River Lounge, which announced its closure last month.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of the Arklow River Lounge. This decision was not made lightly, but we are deeply grateful for the journey we’ve shared with our customers, friends, and community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Christy’s John and Elaine Fleming for their unwavering support in this venture.”
