Celtronic, Derry’s renowned electronic music festival, has announced that it will come to a close after its 25th edition this April, bowing out on a high with festival regulars Dave Clarke, Helena Hauff, Mano Le Tough, and more.
Established in 2001, Celtronic has long been a key fixture in Ireland’s electronic music scene, captivating fans from all corners of the globe. Known for its diverse lineup and forward-thinking booking policies, the festival has played a crucial role in shaping the landscape of electronic music both locally and across Northern Ireland.
Originating as a non-profit event, Celtronic set out with the mission of showcasing both internationally acclaimed electronic artists and up-and-coming local talent. The inaugural festival in 2001 featured Chicago house legend Marshall Jefferson in conversation with Bill Brewster at Sandinos Bar/Club. Over the years, Celtronic has expanded in both scale and influence, consistently drawing a diverse lineup of artists and solidifying its reputation as one of the premier electronic music festivals with regular guests such as Dave Clarke, Helena Hauff and DJ Stingray.
As Celtronic prepares to depart, it leaves a legacy of fostering community, celebrating diversity, and elevating electronic music.
