Cork Midsummer Festival announce Gash Collective boss ELLLL as their latest resident for the 2023/2024 edition of the festival.
Cork Midsummer Festival is an annual multi-disciplinary arts festival that uses the city as its backdrop and inspiration. It provides high-quality arts events, both national and international, for audiences of all ages. Its programme provides opportunities for significant public participation and engagement, supports the development of emerging artists across all artforms, and provides a unique platform for work by local and national artists.
The festival’s next announcement poses as an exciting one as they invite Ellen King better know as ELLLL as a resident for 2023/2024. ELLLL’s work with Gash Collective, crafting D.I.Y. events and supporting Irish women & LGBTQ+ producers & DJ’s means is she is well aquatinted with forumalting unique events with upcoming artists, feeding into the festival’s ethos.
ELLLL for those of you who are not yet aquatinted with the Irish born, Berlin based producer and DJ, has a unique approach to bass, techno and off kilter club music. ELLLL has carved out a distinctive voice thanks to sets and productions laced with breaks, abstract experimentation, disjointed techno and bass heavy club. Through releases on labels such as FSL, Glacial Industries and Art for Blind, ELLLL has established herself as a
boundary pushing figure in electronic music. ELLLL is also one of the cofounders of Gash Collective, a group focused on supporting Irish women & LGBTQ+ producers & DJ’s.
