We were all scratching our heads whenever we were on the bus passing the newest Subset mural on Aungier street.
March 30 – April 1
The group are well known for causing a stir in the capital with their impressive murals and this one was no different, especially in a city full of eager ravers looking for somewhere to party.
Thankfully, the mystique has been lifted and we can finally know whether we’re allowed into the gaff or not, a common problem for anyone on a night out.
With all that being said, the upcoming Free Gaff that’s being held by Red Bull Music won’t be a dirty after session with a bedroom DJ doing their very best not to mess up on a controller and laptop in the corner. No, this particular free gaff will have a few names that are more recognisable than someone’s mate who was inspired to play after watching Mall Grab’s Boiler Room.
The lineup features the perfect blend between house and hip hop and will see acts playing in various different rooms in the house. From a Four Four point of view, we were thrilled to see our own Or:la make the cut, along with the highly anticipated return of Benjamin Damage. Joining them are seasoned house selectors Frits Wentink, Palms Trax and Mella Dee too.
Things get a touch heavier with the inclusion of Krescent (AKA Tommy Holohan) and KETTAMA, with All City Records, Ciara Brady and Orange Tree Edits also joining them on the bill.
One of the best local inclusions is the combination of Bobofunk and Handsome Paddy who’ll be playing a 4 deck set. Checkout the full lineup here.
Or:la has been making headlines of late with her recent Boiler Room set in Moscow where she was joined on the lineup by Overmono and Derrick May among others.
