Robert Hood is due to play at a church in Berlin, as well as preaching, to tie together two much loved subjects for him, religion and music.

Hood, an ordained minister, will preach and play a set at St. Thomas’ church in Berlin, finishing up in Berlin’s club Tresor. The news comes just days before he the release of his highly anticipated  DJ-Kicks mix. Hood’s alias Floorplan is heavily tied with gospel samples, religious subjects and more.

The Motor City artist, and ordained minister, told The Rolling Stone magazine: “When I’m behind the turntables, I’m at a pulpit. I’m preaching a message of love—it’s just coming through electrical wires and Funktion-One speakers.”

Robert Hood will be gracing the stage at District 8 during the winter edition of Circles in the Francis St venue alongside Octave One and more this Sunday.
