Max HeyraudDrogheda’s music and barbering communities are coming together for a good cause with CHOPS & CHUNES 4 CHARITY—a 12-hour DJ & Barber Expo taking place on Sunday, April 27th, from 9AM to 9PM at Chop Shop Drogheda.
Organised by Warren Whealan, the Barber, and SMACK MADN + Friends, CHOPS & CHUNES 4 CHARITY will showcase a stellar lineup of local DJs, all in support of the Irish Cancer Society. This event is particularly meaningful to the organizers, as it is dedicated to 18-year-old Rowan, an aspiring DJ currently battling stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, Rowan’s love for music remains as strong as ever.
To honor his passion for DJing and bring the community together, his friends and family are transforming the decks and clippers into tools for change. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society, funding critical cancer research, patient support services, and care initiatives.
