Sam GreenwoodThe Wiley Fox will play host to a new night, Cosmic Void, on Saturday October 13th which aims to focus on the host of impressive producers currently in Ireland at the moment.
The night comes from the people behind the Early Shift and Strato and are well known for being behind some of the most notorious nights and mornings the city has seen over the past few years.
The first week’s instalment will see an impressive lineup with acts DART & LPM, both two of Ireland’s most talented house producers. The producer centric night will focus mainly on music and art, providing a platform for local Irish producers, audio visual artists, sculptors, prop makers, artists and more to showcase their work in a club environment, The act will always be someone who is actively creating music. A mixture of DJ sets and live sets with a strong visual element emphasis, the aim is to create parties, not events. The night will also be giving a platform to the many record labels in the city with room 2 label takeovers.
The night joins a host of small grass root club nights taking place in Dublin’s taking over a Saturday night slot but rather than handing the controls over to a group of new DJs, they’re attempting to focus solely on the bustling number of producers in Dublin as well as hosting label showcases, given the number of impressive imprints doing the rounds in the city right now.
