The excitement for the Fairyhouse race course festival is reaching its peak as the lineup begins to tie up its loose ends. Eager fans have been treated on an almost weekly basis to healthy helpings within a varied diet of house, tech house and techno, leading up to what is one of the most diverse and dynamic festival line ups we’ve seen in Ireland of late.

New era house icon Baltra is accompanied by Detroit Swindle, with Ejeca, Skream and Hot since 82 all set to lay down unpredictable sets. SHDW & Obscure Shape make their long-awaited Irish debut on the fellow debuting Index stage, with further techno being offered up by Enrico Sangiuliano and Nicole Moudaber.

To add to this already stacked lineup, Boxed Off have just announced UK house and garage pioneer Huxley who is sure to deliver an energetic set, drawing on multiple genres, which has already been clear via any of his sets here or just a quick look through his storied production catalog.

After closing out the Casa Bacardi at Electric Picnic last year, Huxley’s festival return to Ireland was inevitable after a show in Letterkenny recently to follow up multiple shows around the country towards the end of 2016 and the start of 2017.

With 9 headliners now already announced, its interesting to see what Boxed Off have up their sleeves, but if they keep going at this rate, we know that whatever it is, it’s going to be very impressive.

By providing something for all different types of electronic music fans, Boxed Off is not only going to keep the ball rolling in terms of festivals, as the summer series begins to wind down, but also open up a lot more new fans to the music that makes us tick.

Tickets are flying out the door at an alarming rate so make sure to get your hands on one if you’re thinking of getting festive this October.
