In anticipation for the big man, Carl Cox’s return to Ireland this May when he comes to Life Festival, we’ve taken a deep dive back through some of the mixes that have played a key part in defining his career. Cox has been the forefront of electronic music for over three decades and amongst his residency’s and touring has managed to stay relevant and fresh. We can’t wait for his return and to see what he pulls out for the eager Life crowd.

Kicking things off we have his Essential Mix live from Italy in 1996, 2 hours of hard techno.

Second is another Essential Mix from his world tour in 1996 this time coming from Birmingham.

We jump forward two years into 1998 where we see Mr. Cox destroy techno parade in France

Before his 1996 world tour Carl had also recorded an Essential Mix in 1994 where he opens with the classic’ Green Velvet – Preacher man’

Fast forward to the early 2000s where Carl Cox destroyed the main stage at Dance Valley in 2001.

Also in 2001 Carl took to Belgium’s I Love Techno providing his usual antics.
