We’re just one day away from our most ambitious show yet; no name, no face, no ego. Five hours of pure energy from one of the country’s best DJs.

We caught up with our mystery DJ ahead of tomorrow’s five-hour set at Cellar. We discussed the challenges of short sets often seen in Irish clubs and explored the concept of performing without preconceptions.

“Club culture has become too obsessed with the DJ as a personality rather than an entity. We’re fixated on the minor details; how many CDJs they’re using, or what mixer they have. But there’s magic in mystique, in the unknown. I’m drawn to artists who stay enigmatic, who let the music do the talking. This concept allows me to lean into that mindset.”

“I’m often associated with a particular sound, and while I’ve never seen that as a bad thing, it can feel limiting at times. Set lengths, club night policies, or other external factors often prevent me from diving deeper into my library. With this hidden approach, I’ll have the freedom to explore more fully, and for five hours straight. It’s going to be a trip.”

“This set is completely unplanned. It’s five hours, and the crowd has no idea who or what they’re getting, which tells me they’re open to something different. It’s cool to play for a crowd with no preconceptions, people who are there purely for the experience, not tied to names, brands, or specific sounds. I’m approaching it with the same open-minded spirit, ready to dive deep and see where the journey takes us.”

The event takes place in Dublin’s Cellar on Friday night and the tickets are completely free, you can help yourself here.
