Dublin DJ & producer Aero is supporting the Minnesota Freedom Fund, releasing his brand new EP with all proceeds going straight to the cause.

Following the tragic murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25th, protests and vigils have taken place not just across America, but across the world, including here in Ireland on June 1st.

Since then, people have began to unite more than ever against racism and police brutality. Given that dance music has black roots and is built on black culture, we expect this is only the start of the support we see from Irish artists, which is greatly welcome.

Aero has just released a two track EP in the hope of benefiting the freedom fund, with all proceeds going directly to the deserving cause.

“The tracks are two fast paced techno tracks. Taking a lot of inspiration from late 90’s and early 2000’s techno tracks. Hard hitting tracks made for the dance floor. Both tracks have fast swinging percussion grooves, fat hoovers and pounding kicks. A nod at both rave infused techno and more tribal grooves that came years after.”

Check them out on his Soundcloud below or head to his Bandcamp to show your support and purchase the tracks here.

If you’d like to make a donation to the cause you can do so here.
