As we continue to face the challenges of Covid19 our healthcare workers face the front line. Their jobs are always risky and challenging but their voices have often been overlooked. They are all of us. They’re our mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, friends and neighbours. They deserve our support in these times.

How can we help? The obvious steps should be adhered to at this stage; social distancing, self-isolation (where necessary) and good hygiene (especially hand washing). By taking these steps you’re doing what you physically can. If you know someone who isn’t, then a gentle reminder might set them straight.

Is this enough? Unfortunately not. There’s a long way to go in facing this current pandemic and ensuring our healthcare workers are supported for years to come. But all is not lost – as a way of showing them support, at a time when they are overworked, overwhelmed and (lets face it) for the most part, underpaid, 1Road Laundry have used their creativity and all round soundness to create this epic unofficial HSE kit.

Taking inspiration from the Sports Banger range of tee’s supporting the underfunded NHS, this bootleg Nike version is for the Irish heads, to show support to the HSE workers on a selection of tees, totes, caps and stickers. All profits go to Feed The Heroes, a charity dedicated to feeding frontline workers as they relentlessly rise to the challenge.

Their aim is simple, raise money and awareness of the hard work being done. We encourage everyone to get behind it.

“We just wanted to try to do something helpful from lockdown to help the people working hard to save lives. There’s two of us involved: project founder Jenny Mangan @mangos_gram & visual artist Spicebag @Spicebag.exe. Going forward we are looking to get behind as many good causes as possible, be it healthcare, arts or any group that needs support in these uncertain times.”
