From designing club flyers for nightclubs and festivals around the country, to being commissioned by HSE for his groundbreaking drug safety campaign designs, Gav Connell has no doubt left his mark on the Irish dance music scene.

Today, Dublin based ‘Hen’s Teeth’ have teamed up with Dublin-based illustrator to release a new series of work titled ‘Meanwhile’. The collection features a series of five fine art prints, two t-shirts and a riso print zine – all with motifs in Gav’s playful animation style and inspired by the DART, the city’s rapid train line.

Meanwhile is made up of drawings made throughout the seemingly everlasting lockdown in Ireland. The definition of ‘meanwhile’ is in the intervening period of time, but it’s also a play on words – a ‘Mean’ while!” – Gav Connell, illustrator.
