The vinyl release, which has been slightly delayed due to the Coronaviris goings on, is finally here, ‘well almost’ as the label joked.

Over the last few years, Ireland’s electro Don, DeFeKT has occasionally given us brief insights into his dealings with being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and the debilitating effect it has on his day to day life, while still plugging away creating and collaborating to create new music.

Yesterday, the label releasing his excellent 4 track ‘Mind Lock’ EP, announced that they would be teaming up with Irish charity, Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, to donate the proceeds from the EP’s record sales.

Jensen Interceptor, who runs the International Chrome label and features on the EP, notified us all of his plans to donate the funds to charity via his Facebook account yesterday.

Mind Lock EP is now available for pre-order at most of your favourite wax dealers. I just want to say it’s always such a privilege & honour to work with DeFeKT. I have the utmost respect, love & admiration for his strength & courage as a producer & performer. DeFeKT has battled with MS these last few years, a disease I have sadly witnessed first hand within my own family so I know how crippling it is.

DeFeKT & I, along with everyone at International chrome are very happy to announce that we will be donating 100% of the profits from this record to Multiple Sclerosis Ireland.

For those of you who are not aware, Multiple Sclerosis is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance. It’s a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability.

You can find out more information about Multiple Sclerosis Ireland here.
