With stand out parties in Sugar, plus unquestionably the best venue in the whole of the country, The Bunker, which by day is an underground car park, by night the best spot for a rave anyone could dream of getting their hands on, legally.
After throwing so many large scale club shows, it came to no surprise that the Jika Jika crew were to launch their own festival over the summer, it’s seemed the natural progression. For the August Bank Holiday weekend the Jika Jika team launched an ambitious two day event as they jumped in two footed with a huge festival lineup, one which any of the established festivals would have been proud of.
Day one was curated by crowd favourite, Denis Sulta as the Sulta Selects stage hosted Octave One (live), Steffi, Willow and, of course, Denis Sulta himself.
Day two was curated by the legendary Green Velvet, where he invited Patrick Topping, Charlotte de Witte and Louisahhh to accompany him on the La La Land stage.
After the roaring success of 2018, we’re very much looking forward to seeing what the Jika Jika team bring to Derry in 2019. Fingers crossed the team get the top prize they deserve.
