There’s been a lot of doom and gloom recently for venues around the country, but The Kino in Cork have stopped the venue rot, and will reopen its doors this coming September.

The venue released the news that the live venue space ran by Live At St. Luke’s, It Takes A Village, and Cork Podcast Festival is set to bring some much needed venue space to Cork city once again. Expect to see the venue open from September onwards.

The venue had this to say via their Facebook channel earlier.

“Doors will open mid-September and we have already got some incredible acts booked in which we’ll be announcing soon. We have also partnered up with some exciting Cork festivals, namely Sounds from a Safe HarbourCork Podcast FestivalCork Folk Festival-Féile Chorcaí, and the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, for some quality live performances.”

Long live The Kino.
