AVA Festival have just announced their first wave of acts for their 2023 edition which is due to take place on Friday, June 2nd, and Saturday, June 3rd at the Titanic Slipways in Belfast. The first wave of acts welcomes Central Cee, Slowthai, Kettama, Eliza Rose, Overmono, and many more to the festival this summer.

AVA Festival is back with the festival’s first lineup announcement ahead of the event’s 2023 edition. This welcomes the return of Overmono who has had a massive year, alongside G-Town Records’ own Kettama, Slowthai, Central Cee, and the magnificent Eliza Rose. Not to mention appearances from SPFDJ, Hector Oaks, Job Jobse, KI/KI, I. Jordan, DJ Heartstring, X Club, and many more across the course of the 2-day festival.

AVA has grown into an essential event for culture in Ireland since its inception. It has done a fascinating job as the first festival to have pioneered the first large-scale multi-stage event to represent a modern Belfast, promoting the vibrant dance music community in Northern Ireland and beyond.

AVA has always supported local artists, some of which include Holly Lester, Kessler, IMNOTYOURMATE, EMBY, Jordan, Carlton Doom, and more with a platform along with some of the world’s most celebrated musicians that have performed at AVA over the years. In doing so, AVA has always created an inclusive and celebrated space for talent to be nurtured from their DJ competitions to work programs that they offer every year. Not only are these fantastic initiatives, but they are also quite rare to come by too.

AVA Festival Director Sarah McBriar has also shared some comments about this first lineup announcement regarding AVA and are as follows; ‘At AVA, we are committed to evolving as both a festival and a cultural movement, with a mantra to never stand still. 2023 marks a moment where AVA is evolving as music and cultural tastes change. It moves with the moment whilst staying true to its origins in electronic music. It’s where multiple artforms converge to create memorable moments for music fans and electronic arts enthusiasts. Our commitment to design, festival experience, high production levels and amplifying local talent is as strong as ever, and we can’t wait to bring you our next AVA Belfast edition this June!’

Tickets for AVA Festival Belfast go on sale on Friday 27th of January.
