Given that we are a mere two sleeps away from the second iteration of Otherside Festival at Rock Farm in Slane, we felt it best to sit down and do a complete overview of what this fabulous festival has to offer. Undoubtedly, there will be something for everyone ahead of this magical weekend in Meath.

The second iteration of Otherside is almost upon us, after a stunning inaugural showcase last year we find ourselves preparing for this weekend’s antics once again. Having been a clear standout amongst the Irish festival circuit last year we really cannot wait to see what’s in store this time around. Give this a read for your full Otherside fix to prepare you for everything this gorgeous event has to offer.

Otherside’s headliners consist of SBTRKT, CMAT and Bombay Bicycle Club. Joining them is a terrific range of local and international artists, some of which include Aby Coulibaly, Confidence Man, Cáit, Fatima Yamaha, George Fitzgerald, La La, Soundmate, Bella Festa, Andrew Azara, Kolsch, Enzo Siragusa, Skream, Maya Jane Coles, Maverick Sabre and many, many more (full lineup can be viewed below). You can find Four Four Magazine’s late-night stage takeover taking place Beneath The Trees this Friday and Saturday. The acts performing on the night include Sunil Sharpe, Yasmin Gardezi, Pagan, Tyvion Valentine, Aeron XTC, Sam Greenwood and EVE.

Joining this flurry of esteemed artists across the weekend will be Otherside’s Seomra Ceoil in conjunction with Juno, The Cobblestone and Chamomile Club and will feature acts such as BrickNasty, Cosha, Ispíní Na hÉireann, Post Party, Alice, Gaffa and so on which will feature an array of genres, arts and entertainment throughout the weekend.

A fantastic selection of food-tasting experiences across the weekend will feature The Big Blue Bus, Bolt Burger, Bahay, Happy’s, Juno, Little Dumpling, Dos Bros Tacos and Society Coffee. If you are looking for a place to relax and reset, wellness will be provided by RISE Nordic Spa which will feature yoga, wood-fired hot tubs and saunas as well as the on-site lake to dip the toes into if you so please. You can also expect storytelling courtesy of Seanchoíche, a storytelling night founded in Dublin that now can be found in Dublin, London and Amsterdam and is growing rapidly worldwide. This experience will engage listeners with spoken stories, ranging from personal anecdotes, monologues, fictional narratives, to poetry pieces and anything in between.

Additionally, The Craic Den Comedy Club will be making an appearance in Slane this weekend where you can find a range of respected and upcoming comedians that’ll be sure to leave your stomach sore from laughing from Friday through Sunday. The likes of Martin Angolo, Emma Doran, David McSavage, Patrick McDonnell and more will be performing at The Craic Den Comedy Club this weekend. Tony Cantwell will also be returning, this time with a live performance of his Hit Podcast Show. Not to mention, Rimski’s Yard will also be at Otherside this year, filled with family-friendly antics ensuring endless bouts of fun for those in attendance.
