Staff WriterSam Shepard AKA Floating Points is a neuroscientist by day(for real) and one of the best electronic music producers in the world by night. Raised in Manchester Shepherd studied piano at Chetham’s School of Music before achieving a PhD in neuroscience and epigenetics at University College London.
Widely known for his amazing live productions and performances that often include multiple live musicians, Floating Points is one of the most respected musicians in the world across all genres.
In 2015 Floating Points’ debut studio album was released, titled Elaenia followed by a few singles including Kuiper and Reflections which was performed and filmed live in the Mojave desert.
He has now released the full mix of his new track ‘Ratio’ and you can listen below.
