Irish producer Miley has quietly been making a name for himself amongst the local scene with a string of captivating and emotionally engaging dance music and ambient. With a firm belief that tears can exist on the dancefloor, Miley’s birth name alias marks a new beginning, having previously released on young labels such as Born Sleepy (Belfast) and Headless (Liverpool) under his Fourth Mind alias.
His first release under his new moniker – Electr – is a shining sonic representation of Miley’s creative mind – exploring break scattered, ambient textures to create something that would not sound out of place resting in the back catalogues of future-facing labels such as Hessle Audio and Houndstooth.
Miley’s remix of Limbo is perhaps the artist’s finest example of emotional dance music – experimental sound design brimming with colour, innovation and energy. The type of artist who could be regarded as your favourite producer’s favourite producer, Miley is up next.
