Things are slowing down slightly after the sunny bank holiday weekend with Forbidden Fruit, AVA and Life happening last week but don’t fear as there’s still plenty of gigs happening around the country. While we have a week or two to wait until Higher Visions, Circles and more electronic music festivals happening around the country this month there’s still plenty happening to tide us over in the meantime.

Outlook Festival Launch at Wigwam

Spectrum and Boey Audio present us with the official Dublin launch party of Croatia’s Outlook Festival 2018, reputable for their alternative location choices. The line up boasts plenty of drum ‘n’ bass legends from home and abroad including ANT TC1, Dublin’s Steo and Zero T and many more.

HAAi at Pyg

Teneil Throssell, who plays under the name HAAi, arrived in London originally as part of a psychedelic band, but her avid collection of Turkish funk and Afrobeat inspired her to take on a new electronic project resulting in moody, bassy and percussive house and techno. Support on the night comes from Colin Perkins and Ian Duffy.

The Balance Series at The South William

The Balance Series is launching at The South William this Friday night with residents Colin Devine, Sarah Mooney and more with the aim of providing an equal platform for both female and male electronic talent in Ireland. Each week will see half of the female curation by Sarah Mooney and half of the male curation by Colin Devine, with three floors of electronic music and free entry every Friday night.

Italian duo 999999999 return to index thanks to Techno & Cans and Research this Friday night. 999999999 tend to stay more on the mysterious side, leaving their audiences with not much information about them apart from their music, which after their last show at Index we can say is intense, acidy techno.

Kastis Torrau at Wah Wah ClubKastis Torrau will be taking to the basement of The South William for a three-hour set full of tuneful house and progressive tech house rhythms and sounds. Torrau’s music radiates powerful house bass lines and original samples with unforgettable vocals, making his sets popular with the Irish and UK audience as well as at locally in Lithuania. Joining him on the night will be Maggie Rose and Zee Ziggy.

Deciduous & Eve at Wigwam 

Deciduous and Eve, both well-respected Irish collectives, will be taking over Wigwam’s basement. Representing Eve on the night will be stalwarts Jessica, Lauren and Micu and there from Deciduous will be Paul Lo, Niall Kane and Ryan O’Dowd.

Vlad. at Berlin d2Vlad is taking over Berlin d2 this Saturday night for a 6 hour long vinyl only set of techno and disco. The Croatian born and Dublin based DJ is known for his residency in Pyg and his diverse selections ranging anywhere from disco classics to acid techno.

Swilly Sunday’s are kickstarting their series of Sunday parties with none other then Adult Store in the laneway to get things started. They’ve also announced the Adult Store duo as weekly Sunday residents following their residency at Toast Dublin which led them to festival and club line ups around the country.
