Dublin’s newest arts and music festival is happening this Bank Holiday weekend.

The Dark Arts Festival takes place for the first this bank holiday weekend, the four day arts festival will showcase some of the most talented artists in electro, techno, experimental, ambient sonic along with visual art installations. Taking place in various locations around the city centre, Smock Alley Theatre, Kaizen and The Soundhouse will be home for festival as it starts on October 25th and runs until October 28th.

It’s first year will see international acts such as Viscerale, Imperial Black Unit, Schacke, Black Merlin and more headline the unique festival. The Dark Arts Festival is independently financed and created with love by Damien McClurg. Damien spoke about his project stating: “This is the first year of the festival and I hope it will give Irish artists, in particular, a chance to perform, those who don’t usually get a platform. Similar festivals have sold out in Amsterdam and Barcelona, but this helps promote Irish artists.”

This focused effort on highlighting Irish talent alongside international artists shouldn’t go unnoticed, great attention to detail and obvious attention to detail makes for Dublin’s new exciting festival.
