Jackmaster took to Instagram last night to announce that one of his close friends has sadly been diagnosed with MS. For anyone lucky enough to not be familiar with the disease, Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body, resulting in a range of signs and symptoms, including physical, mental, and sometimes psychiatric problems.

“Moe and his brothers Ahmed and Mahmoud are some of my dearest friends from Glasgow. If you have seen me or Jasper DJ anywhere you have probable seen Moe’s younger brother Ahmed dancing about the stage with us. When I met these three brothers, Ahmed couldn’t speak English and was half my size but still used to nutmeg me at football every night. When times were hard at my house their mum used to drive us to football training and then cook me the most amazing Jordanian food and let me watch the Champions League. I guess what I’m saying is I have known this family for a long time and I owe them a lot, so I’m doing whatever I can to help Moe and the Abutoq’s during this difficult time. The one way I can help is through the medium of music, so we will be throwing a party in Glasgow on the 8th December to help raise money to get Moe to mexico for groundbreaking stem cell surgery. Jasper and Artwork will be joining me alongside some other mates from Glasgow. If you have a minute and a pound or two to spare to this cause it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you <3”.

Dance For Awareness is set to take place on December 8th in SWG3 with Jackmaster, Jasper James, Artwork and more playing on the night. For more info on the event click here. You can buy tickets here.

If you can’t make it to the event and would like to contribute to Moe’s treatment you can donate here.
