Liam McGrathKETTAMA has been helping save us from isolation by releasing some new music on his Soundcloud, and this Rebel Phoenix remix is the latest.
Lockdown and isolation have had their advantages, with artists now having more time than ever to both create and release music. We’ve seen a massive amount of new music across the board, Bandcamp supporting artists by waiving their fees recently has definitely helped also. This latest KETTAMA release is now on his Soundcloud and is another remix of Dublin rapper Rebel Phoenix.
KETTAMA had previously remixed one of the Dubliner’s tracks ‘Stargazing’ just five months ago, this remix of ‘Heatwaves’ feels more appropriate than ever and is suited to the weather we’ve been having as of late.
Featuring KETTAMA’s recognisable warming chords, a broken beat rework and Rebel’s topical lyrics in the recognisable Dublin accent, this track has the makings of a sunny day favourite.
