Listen: Ellen Allien is bringing her extra-terrestrial style back to the Button Factory with Hidden Agenda this Friday.

The German artist has been involved in the dance music scene since the early 90’s, having come into contact with electronic music during her time spent living in London. When she returned to Berlin, she found that the underground scene had taken her hometown by storm and completely immersed herself it.
She earned herself a residency as a DJ at the legendary Berlin club Tresor in 1992 before going on to set up her own record label ‘BPitch Control’, an imprint she used to release a number of her own tracks as well as number of other reputable artists.

Through her DJ sets, Ellen creates a unique universe, carefully blending the sounds of acid, jacking house and hypnotic Berlin techno together to provide an other-worldly experience for the audience in front of her.
She’s been busy holding down residences at clubs such as Nitsa in Barcelona and regularly appearing for Circoloco at DC10 in Ibiza while still finding time to put out remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode and Mount Kimbie on the boundary-pushing Warp Records.
Check out her appearance on Boiler Room here.
