It’s a day of heavy-hitting Irish techno, as we feature a brand new alias from young Carrick on Shannon born, but Galway resident Harry Elliot Bouchier.

The 19 year was previously producing under his own name, but after months of time to think and work on his sound, productions and the future ahead of him, realised a name change and rebrand as ‘Elliot‘ was the next stage in his career. Today, Elliot has released his debut EP under his new alias, which is out now with INSANE INDUSTRY, a label known for its no nonsense heavy hitting raw, dark and industrial techno.

Ahead of its release today, we had a quick chat with Elliot about the release and his name change.

“I first got the notion to completely rebrand myself at the beginning of the first lockdown as I felt a stigma surrounded my previous alias that I couldn’t escape, and thus the idea for ‘Elliot’ was born.

The idea for my debut EP stylistically was always aimed towards producing a drum heavy compilation of tracks with little synth or lead activity, so that the complete focus of the tracks was the drums.

Track 1. ‘Venus’ touches on the harsher side of things drawing influences from artists like Makornik and Cancel.

Track 2. ‘E46’ on the other hand, draws more from old-school Eric Sneo, Hertz kinds of stuff whilst still staying true to the drum heavy idea behind the EP”.
