Lee Kelly is no stranger to the Irish dance music scene. He’s been a resident for Subject for a number of years and his ability to play both house and techno at a perfect level has seen him share the stage with the likes Kerri Chandler, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Omar-S, Surgeon, Anthony Parasole and many more as well as being a constant on the Irish festival circuit.

Lee Kelly is back on First Second Label with ‘Day In The Life’, an affirming house lifter, that’s backed with 3 stellar remixes from good friends Der Opium Queen, George Earnest & Lastminuteman with all proceeds go to Crumlin Children’s Hospital!

Day In The Life saunters through a lovely low-slung Detroit house rhythm, filtered through his signature melodic optimism and keys work to gorgeous effect.

Der Opium Queen dials up the modem for his heaving bleep house and dub, weaving the bassline’s suped up LFOs around snapshots a of the original’s key and pad word. George Earnest breaks with added pace, snapping hardcore drum rollage with vocoder vocals for an ecstatic pop rave version. Lastminuteman concludes the package with his wickedly blunted’n’broken refix, abstracting the OG to a skittering haze.”
