Liam McGrathIreland’s long time favourite, Mall Grab has remixed one of Jamie XX’s latest releases which features popular English rapper, Headie One.
Jordan Alexander, or Mall Grab as he’s known to most, has undergone a dramatic and inspiring journey since blowing up, following his Boiler Room in Paris in 2016. Mall Grab has since remained at the top of the circuit, while developing his sound from the familiar and warming LoFi-esque sounds of ‘Can’t’ and ‘Feel U’ to his recent techno & breaks tracks and EP’s such as ‘Take Down Enemies’ which have absolutely taken clubs across the world by storm. Mall Grabs journey, diversity and work ethic have seen him release a host of music as of late, while continuing to adapt.
Headie One is also not a stranger to being remixed by big electronic artists, he has also received recent reworks from Four Tet and floating points.
From growing up in London, his rise from underground to mainstream was short. Headie One has recently been released from prison in the UK and we’re expecting to see more collaborations from him in the coming months.
Mall Grabs remix brings his now signature, heavy, club ready techno sound to the original, and we can see this gaining traction when dancefloors reopen, whenever that should be.
