At this time of the year charities need all the support they can gather, none more so than the Inner City Helping Homeless Irish charity. The use of music as a way to raise funds is something we love to see.

Modem Records are a growing Dublin label established to develop and nurture the producer community within Ireland’s electronic music scene. Concluding the label’s 2020 catalogue is a 20+ track multi-genre VA compilation album, with releases from some of the most promising up-and-coming artists from Dublin and abroad.

Entitled Overlooked Essentials, it features a wide range of styles from house, techno, breaks and electro, and is available through the Modern Records Bandcamp, with all proceeds donated to the Inner City Helping Homeless charity, to help them at their busiest time, Christmas. This is a vital service for many families at the most difficult time of year, heavily increased this year due to Covid 19. It will no doubt be a welcome donation.

Artists’ include Nktrnl, Hank LW, Dåser, Outlier, Collie and CMS. The album is out today. All 21 tracks are available for €10, however, the tracks can also be purchased individually.
