Dax J has become a household name for dance music fans over the last three or four years due to his relentless approach to DJing, his club-rattling productions and also for a brief moment of controversy. Ahead of his highly anticipated return to Dublin this weekend, we decided to take a look at our favourite releases from the techno star’s highly regarded ‘Monnom Black’ imprint.
Monnom Black came to life in Berlin in 2013 and has since then gone on to push and promote proper techno music. Over the last five years Dax has used the label as an outlet for his own productions as well using the imprint as a pedestal for some of techno’s biggest and best to release on.
Without further adieu, our top 10 Monnom Black releases…
 Stranger – Highest Sense

Dax J – Wir Leben Für Die Nacht

Tommy Holohan – Inter Dimensional Hardcore Business

Binny – Quarantine

I Hate Models – Ritual Of Tears

Thomas P. Heckmann – Acid Head (CJ Bolland Bad Acid Remix)

Dax J – Escape The System

Remco Beekwilder – Concrete Jungle

Dax J – Offending Public Morality

I Hate Models – Emerald

These are sure to get you in the mood for Dax’s show at District 8 this Friday. Support on the night comes from Tommy Holohan. Join the event page here and pick up tickets here.
